Radiohead - House of Cards

Now I’m a new Radiohead fan and I find that they are usually hit or miss with me. I like Kid A, but I’m not partial to King of Limbs. But one that I honestly love is In Rainbows. It did’nt take me a while to like this one and it is in constant rotation on the Ipod. This record is also a good source of creativity and inspiration. I’ve beat at my guitar alot since this has been in heavy rotation. I’ve been able to think up some new stuff since listening to it. I like that somber and sober feel. They’re really pretty good. Preaching to the Choir, but I had to say it. The thing about it is they’ve been out for the longest and they still have a good string of successes. I can’t say that their is one song that particular stands out to me on the In Rainbows album because they’re all so good, but I like how this one is so laid back. I’ll be honest because Mylo Xylotl comes out this week, but this among some others are taking up the time ‘til then. This recording I found on youtube is from a Vh1 special called ‘Live From the Basement’. That cherry ‘61 that Thom Yorke is playing is also beautiful. I love that clean sound he gets. I’m late to the bandwagon but I still managed to get on. A sidenote also, Thom Yorkes solo album, The Eraser, is a pretty decent album. There’s a few I like on there too.

Happy Fall folks.
